It wasn’t by chance that the Lodenwalker company was founded at foothills of Dachstein. The inhabitants of this Alpine area, which is also a homeland of Cameroon sheep, probably the first domesticated sheep, quickly became experts on wool. No wonder that the company that focuses on production of traditional woolen clothing had been established even before Columbus discovered America, in 1434.
Even today its workers use machines over 200 years old. Thanks to the reputation of its clothes, which are outstanding in their functional qualities, Lodenwalker clothes are worn worldwide not only in the mountains.
