The Tissot company was established in Switzerland in 1853 by Charles-Félicien Tissot and his son Charles-Émile, originally as “Charles-Félicien Tissot & Son”. Soon, the quality of their large range of pocket and pendant watches was widely recognized at national and international exhibitions. The 19th century saw the beginning of export to the United States and the Russian Empire. Currently, Tissot is the biggest watchmaker in Switzerland and is known also by its close collaboration with the world of Formula 1 and its partnerships with various sports disciplines (MotoGP, ice hockey, cycling, basketball just to name a few). Thanks to its continuous ability to innovate, to stay one step ahead of the trends, and to reach all types of audience, every year Tissot sells more than four million watches worldwide.
