Whisky Contest – Green Tree Distillery
Rules dated 30 June 2026
These rules govern the competition announced in the competition post published on the Instagram page Green Tree Distillery on 30 June 2026 (the “Competition”).
These rules are the only binding document governing the Competition. The Organizer may amend these rules by written amendments where required for serious reasons, in particular due to legal, regulatory, technical, platform-related, or operational reasons.
The organizer of the Competition is Palírna U Zeleného stromu a.s., Company ID No. 27336760, with its registered office at Drážďanská 14/84, Krásné Březno, 400 07 Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic (the “Organizer”).
Competition Period
The Competition runs from 30 June 2026 until 13 July 2026 at 23:59 CET (the “Competition Period”).
How to Enter
To enter the Competition, a participant must, during the Competition Period:
- comment under the competition post on the Instagram page Green Tree Distillery with an answer to the following question: “Where is the Green Tree Distillery located?”; and
- follow the Instagram page Green Tree Distillery.
Participation in the Competition is free of charge. No purchase or payment is required to enter the Competition.
Winner Selection
After the end of the Competition, on 13 July 2026, the Organizer will randomly draw two winners from all valid entries.
The winners will be announced on 15 July 2026 on the Instagram page Green Tree Distillery and may also be contacted via Instagram direct message.
If a winner does not respond within 5 calendar days of being contacted, does not provide the required information, does not meet the eligibility requirements, or cannot receive the prize in accordance with these rules, the Organizer may draw an alternative winner.
Eligibility
The Competition is open only to natural persons who are residents of a Member State of the European Union, excluding the Czech Republic, and who have a delivery address in a Member State of the European Union, excluding the Czech Republic.
The Competition is not open to persons residing outside the European Union or in the Czech Republic. The prize will not be delivered outside the European Union or to the Czech Republic, including but not limited to the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, the United States of America, Canada, or any other non-EU country.
As the prize is an alcoholic beverage, the Competition is open only to persons who are at least 18 years old and who have reached the legal drinking age in their country of residence.
Employees of the Organizer, persons involved in the preparation or administration of the Competition, and persons close to them are excluded from participation.
Each participant may enter the Competition only once. Multiple comments or entries by the same participant may be disregarded, and only the first valid entry may be included in the draw.
The Organizer reserves the right to exclude any participant if there is reasonable suspicion of fraud, manipulation, breach of these rules, participation by a person not meeting the eligibility requirements, or conduct contrary to the purpose of the Competition.
Prize
Two winners will each receive one bottle of Rye Old Hunter’s Bourbon Cask whisky.
The prize is an alcoholic beverage. Before the prize is handed over or dispatched, the Organizer may require the winner to provide information reasonably necessary to verify their age, identity, country of residence, and delivery address.
If the winner does not provide such information, does not meet the eligibility requirements, provides an address outside the eligible territory, or if the prize cannot be lawfully or practically delivered to the winner, the winner’s claim to the prize will lapse and the Organizer may draw an alternative winner.
The prize will be delivered only within eligible Member States of the European Union and only where such delivery is legally permitted and practically possible. The Organizer is not obliged to deliver the prize to any country, region, or address where the delivery of alcoholic beverages is prohibited, restricted, subject to unavailable age verification, or subject to regulatory, tax, customs, carrier, or other requirements that cannot reasonably be fulfilled.
The prize cannot be exchanged for money or any other performance. The photograph used in the competition post is illustrative.
Personal Data
The controller of personal data is Palírna U Zeleného stromu a.s., Company ID No. 27336760, with its registered office at Drážďanská 14/84, Krásné Březno, 400 07 Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic.
The Organizer processes personal data of participants and winners for the purpose of administering the Competition, selecting and announcing winners, verifying eligibility, communicating with winners, and delivering the prize.
The personal data processed may include the participant’s Instagram username, competition comment, name, delivery address, age verification information, country of residence, and communication with the Organizer.
The legal basis for the processing is the performance of these Competition rules, the Organizer’s legitimate interest in properly administering and documenting the Competition, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.
Personal data will be retained only for the period necessary to administer the Competition, deliver the prizes, and protect the Organizer’s legal claims, unless a longer retention period is required by applicable law.
Participants have the rights provided under the GDPR, including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Participation in the Competition does not constitute consent to receive marketing communications. Any marketing communication may be sent only on the basis of a separate legal ground or separate consent, where required.
Instagram / Meta Disclaimer
This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.
By entering the Competition, each participant acknowledges that they provide their information to the Organizer and not to Instagram or Meta, and releases Instagram and Meta from any liability in connection with the Competition.
General Provisions
The Organizer may amend, suspend, or cancel the Competition only for serious reasons, in particular where required by law, by a decision of a public authority, by Instagram or Meta platform rules, or due to circumstances beyond the Organizer’s reasonable control.
The Organizer reserves the right to make final decisions on all matters relating to the administration of the Competition, provided that such decisions are consistent with these rules and applicable mandatory law.
Nothing in these rules excludes or limits any mandatory statutory rights of participants that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
These rules are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection or other mandatory rights that may apply to participants under the laws of their country of residence.
